Can you tell us more about your experience setting up a new Optiply office and team in Hyderabad, India?

“Let me start by explaining how I became part of Optiply. When I was still in college, my project guide Dr. Sudhir Varadarajan told me about Optiply and its expansion plans in India. To learn more about the company, I looked into the company and what they do and asked myself if I would see myself growing with this company. I determined this as a rare opportunity to come by and then decided to go for it.”

“First of all, Optiply caught my attention for its recruiting. I think that process is important for a position like mine. The recruitment process is in line with my mindset: someone has to have the right personality to fit into the team. The conversations I had with Wiljo, Wiebe and Sander, respectively the chairman, CEO, and CTO, have also been important. Without their collective guidance and support, I would not have gotten to where the team and I are today.”

“And now that I am in the process of building an Indian team for Optiply, I am glad that this team has blended well into the Optiply culture. Optiply is all about bonding and growing together. Currently, we are with five people in our office and I could not be more proud of them. My team constantly motivates and inspires me.”

Techno Commercial Manager - Asia, Optiply

As a techno commercial manager, you are responsible for technical and management aspects. What interests you most?

“As a computer science graduate I would say without thinking: design, develop, test, improve and repeat. I was never limited to traditional classroom teaching. Instead, I developed a deep understanding of the subjects, worked on interesting projects, and participated in institute activities that improved my technical and social skills.”

“Speaking about the entrepreneurship aspects, I realised that my family’s entrepreneurial background influenced me significantly. Additionally, some electives I took in college played a role in helping me realise my leadership instincts.”

“And now, within my role, I mainly focus on adding value by asking myself what will benefit the company and the team. And how we can contribute to the vision and mission of the company. This reasoned vision leads me to dedicate myself fully to the role required to take a stand for what may come.”

It sounds like the future looks promising for Optiply India!

“Definitely. That is a big yes! Time flies by in the blink of an eye. The Indian team must become an Asia powerhouse supporting all of Optiply. People must look up to any requirements for smoother operations while maintaining records. Everyone should feel that Optiply is the company where they belong. Our team should be a hub for innovation and learning. They will have the opportunity to meet great mentors and be a part of an amazing team.”
